Thousands of students from the IUSF began a protest in Kelaniya a short while ago, calling for the immediate resignation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Thousands of students gathered outside the Kelaniya University and are now marching toward Fort demanding the resignation of the President and Prime Minister.
The students are expected to stay in overnight and join the islandwide protest scheduled to be held tomorrow.
