The Association of Medical Specialists (AMS) has expressed its support for the newly elected President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The AMS, an apolitical trade union representing the nation’s medical specialists, assured the President of their continued cooperation in his efforts to reform and improve the healthcare sector in Sri Lanka.
In a letter, the AMS congratulated the President on his election and emphasized the association’s commitment to contributing to progressive policy changes.
They expressed optimism about working with the government for the betterment of healthcare services in the country.
“We kindly request an opportunity to meet with the President to discuss matters concerning medical specialists and the health sector more broadly,” the letter stated
The organization highlighted its desire to be an active partner in implementing effective healthcare policies for the benefit of the Sri Lankan people.
