Many Police stations do not have vehicles in order to perform their duties, Public Security Minister Tiran Alles said.
The Minister made these observations following the handing over of 125 vehicles by the Indian government to Sri Lanka.
“Many Police stations don’t have vehicles to nab thieves and drug addicts. Some OICs travel in trishaws, therefore we are thankful to the Indian government,” he said.
