Colombo, June 23 (Daily Mirror)- While refuting claims that the National People's Power (NPP) has a deal with President Ranil Wickremesinghe, NPP General Secretary Tilvin Silva said the real deal is with Wickremesinghe and the Rajapaksas.

He told a news conference that some people were spreading rumours that the NPP has struck a deal with Ranil Wickremesinghe.

"What do we have to cover up by striking a deal with Ranil? The Local Government election was postponed since the NPP was going to win. They try to stop our victory even by postponing Cooperative elections. But, the real deal is between the Rajapaksas and Wickremesinghe," he said.

Silva said the Samagi Jana Balawegaya leaders are having discussion with Ranil Wickremesinghe to join with him.

"They plan their future political journey with Ranil at night and during the day they claim before the media that the NPP has a deal with Ranil," he said.

He said some 19 powerful SJB figures have already obtained decentralised funds from the President.
