NPP meets Palestine Ambassador; express concern over death of women, children

A group of NPP representatives led by its leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake today visited Palestine embassy and met with Palastine Ambassador Dr. Zuhair M.H. Zaid where they expressed concern over the death of women and children due to the ongoing war.

NPP MP Vijitha Herath also joined the visit.

They also expressed concern over women and children being displaced without basic facilities such as water, electricity, food and heath facilities.

Dissanayake said the United Nations must make a reasonable intervenntion immediately and that Israel and Palestine should be considered as two seperate countries as deemed by the UN.

The NPP representatives pointed out to the Ambassador that the NPP had been voising for a free Palestine for a long time and that Palestine people must be given the pportunity to live freely. (Ajith Siriwardana)
