NPP wins 7 seats, SJB 2 in Kegalle District

The National People's Power (NPP) secured seven seats in the Kegalle District with 312,441 votes, while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) won two seats with 109,691 votes. 

Both the New Democratic Front (NDF) and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) failed to secure any seats.

Former MP Kabir Hashim led the SJB in Kegalle, with former MP Sujith Sanjaya Perera also contesting for the party. The NDF was led by former State Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, with former State Minister Tharaka Balasuriya and ex-MP Dushmantha Mithrapala also running. Former MP Rajika Wickramasinghe contested under the Sarvajana Balaya party.
