Nipuna Ranawaka under the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) has topped in the Matara District Preferential Votes garnering 131,010 votes.
Karunadasa Kodithuwakku came second with 114,319 votes while Dullas Alahaperuma came third in the list with 103,534 votes.
Kanchana Wijesekara secured 96,033 while Mahinda Yapa Abeywardhena and Wirasumana Weerasinghe obtained 80,595 and 77,968 votes respectively.
Meanwhile, Buddika Pathirana, who contested under the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has secured 44,839 votes in the district.
