Colombo, December 3 (Daily Mirror) - The Ceylon Teachers' Union (CTU) claimed that no action has been taken to remove examination supervisors assigned from schools within the same educational zone.
The CTU General Secretary Joseph Stalin told the Daily Mirror that several examination supervisors attached to the Colombo educational zone have been assigned as supervisors for exams held within the same zone.
The 2024 CGE Advanced Level (A/L) examination is to resume tomorrow. According to examination regulations, assigning exam supervisors from schools within the same educational zone is prohibited and considered illegal, Stalin said.
Despite complaints to the Examinations Department regarding this issue, no decision has been taken to remove these exam supervisors.
This practice has been regarded as a form of examination fraud, the secretary said.
