Colombo, September 16 (Daily Mirror) - The Public Security Ministry said that there are currently no plans to impose a curfew on election day and that all security measures are in place, with the armed forces on standby if necessary.
Public Security Ministry Secretary Viyani Gunathilaka told the Daily Mirror that the police and the Special Task Force (STF) will lead security efforts during the election period. The tri-forces are also on standby to support the police if needed.
