The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) today announced that no service could be availed from the Narahenpita and Werahera Offices on May 24 and 25.
DMT Commissioner General Sumith C. K. Alahakoon said the decision was taken as the Government had declared those two days as special public holidays in view to restrict travelling and to curb the rapid spreading of COVID virus in the country.
Accordingly, the appointments that has already been made for May 24 and 25 via Telephone Number 011- 2677877 will be changed as follows;
The appointments made for May 24 will be forwarded to May 31 and the appointments made for May 25 will be forwarded to June 1.
The Telephone Number 011- 2677877 has been de-activated currently and will be restored on June 1 for reservations, Commissioner General said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
