Colombo, November 06 (Daily Mirror)- Celebration of May Day should also be banned if trade unions are done away with as claimed by this government, former Minister Susil Premajayantha said today.

"May Day is held to commemorate the struggle launched by trade unions in USA to confine working sessions to eight hours. One cannot commemorate an achievement of trade unions if they cease to exist in this country," he said.
