One person died and two others were injured after unidentified gunmen in a car opened fire at a house on Welabada Road, Seeduwa, police said.
The injured were rushed to the Negombo Hospital where one person succumbed to his injuries shortly after admission.
The other two victims are still receiving treatment.
The motive behind the shooting is yet unknown, and the gunmen have not been identified.
