Over Rs. 100 Mn in assets & land belonging to three drug traffickers seized

Colombo, Jan 08 (Daily Mirror) - The Illegal Assets and Properties Investigation Division of the Police has confiscated assets and land belonging to the main drug traffickers 'Kudu Roshan', 'Kavidu Maduranga' and Hettiarachchige's Sriyai, valued at over Rs. 100 million during the 'Yukthiya' operation targeting individuals involved in illegal activities.

Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Tennakoon said the seized items include a luxury jeep valued at Rs. 33 million, a van worth Rs. 13 million, two cars valued at Rs. 14 million and a three-wheeler valued at Rs. 01 million.

The Public Security Ministry said lands and properties worth Rs. 45 million located in Thalagala, Malabe and Ja-Ela, purportedly owned by traffickers engaged in illegal activities, have also been confiscated as part of the operation.
