Parliament, December 04 (Daily Mirror)- Following an allegation by SJB MP Mujibur Rahman claiming that the CEO of Dialog which had refused to produce the phone conversations of former police officer Anura Senanayake and others have been appointed as a Presidential advisor, Chief Government Whip Nalinda Jayatissa said that the data pertaining to the phone calls have been received by the investigation officers.

“The investigations carried out by the Yahapalana government on the alleged killing of rugby player Thajudeen came to a halt as the Dialog company had refused to produce data on phone calls made by former senior police officer Anura Senanayake and others,” MP Rahaman said.

“However, the CEO of that company Hans Wijesuriya has been appointed as a Presidential advisor on digital technology development,” he added.

Chief Government Whip Nalinda Jayatisssa who responded said the needed data on Thajudeen's death have been received by the investigation officers.

“We will carry out a proper investigation on Thajudeen's death and will file court cases against those responsible,” Dr. Jayatissa added.

He said Dr. Wijesuriya is working on a voluntary basis.
