Podimenike engine catches fire at Haputale Railway Station

Haputale, June 3 (Daily Mirror)- A fire broke out in the rear engine in Colombo bound Podimenike express from Badulla this afternoon.

Staff at the Haputale Railway Station and the police managed to douse the fire with assistance of the  residents.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
