Police constable dies in head-on collision

Colombo, July 29 (Daily Mirror) - A police constable died following an accident on the Thummodara-Avissawella road at Puwakpitiya.

Police said the accident occurred when a container truck collided with a motorcycle.

According to the initial information, one police officer who was on the motorcycle died on the spot and the other was admitted to the Avissawella Hospital for treatment.
