A postman in Puttalam is alleged to have retained 145 official polling cards.
Postal Superintendent in Puttalam District has initiated investigations of the incident on a complaint received from the UNP Electoral Organizer for the Puttalam electorate Homes Jesudasan who has informed the Elections Commission as well, on the matter.
The undelivered polling cards were recovered from a business establishment by the Postal Superintendent.
