Pregnant women, children stranded in Dubai brought back to SL

A total of 289 Sri Lankans including around 100 mothers and 8 children stranded in United Arabi Emirates (UAE) arrived in Sri Lanka today, the officer-in-charge of the Bandaranayake International Airport (BIA) said.

Majority of them are migrant workers who had lost jobs due to COVID-19.

The SriLankan Airlines flight UL-226 carrying the passengers arrived at the BIA at 5.35 a.m.
