Presidential election date before Saturday

Colombo, July 23 (Daily Mirror) - The National Election Commission is slated to announce date for the 2024 Presidential Election before Saturday (27).

The sources said the date is likely to be announced on Friday (26).

Sources also indicated that the election date has already been finalized. The meeting scheduled for Thursday (25) is a routine meeting of the commission and not intended to discuss the election date.

Further, the Gazette notification for announcing the Presidential Poll will be published before the weekend.
