Police fired tear gas and water cannons to disperse the Inter University Students Federation (IUSF) protestors at St Anthony’s Road Kollupitiya, a short while ago.
As a result the Duplication Road in Kollupitiya has been shut for motorists.
Earlier, the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court issued a restraining order preventing protestors from entering the Galle Face Green in Colombo from Lipton Circus via Union Place today.
