Quarantine curfew will be imposed within the Western Province from midnight tomorrow (29) until 5 a.m. on Monday (November 2), Army Commander, Shavendra Silva said.
Accordingly, full-day curfew will be imposed on October 30, 31 and November 1 in the Western Province.
The Army Commander said the decision to impose quarantine curfew was taken on the recommendation of the Director General of Health Services.
The quarantine curfew will be lifted at 05.00 am on November 2 only in areas where the quarantine curfew has not been imposed at the time of issuing this notice.
The quarantine curfew in the areas where the curfew is currently in place will continue until further notice after 05.00 am on Monday, November 2.
Since the curfew will be in place in the Western Province on Friday, essential food outlets and pharmacies in the curfew areas will be opened tomorrow (29) from 08.00 am to 10.00 pm.
