Rainy conditions expected to continue further

Colombo, October 14 (Daily Mirror) - The prevailing showery conditions are expected to continue further in 14 districts due to the atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, the Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre of the Meterology Department said.

They said heavy showers above 100mm are likely at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-Western and Northern Provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

Accordingly, the showery conditions are expected to continue in districts such as Jaffna, Killinochchi, Mullaitivu, Mannar, Vavunia, Puttalam, Kurunegala, Gampaha, Kegalle, Colombo, Kalutara, Ratnapura, Galle and Matara. 

Also showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-Western and Northern Provinces and in the Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.

Thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere during the evening or night.
