‘Ranil 24’ - official election campaign portal launched

‘Ranil 24’ - the official 24 hour Presidential campaign update provider for President Ranil Wickremesinghe was launched a short while ago. 

The campaign provider will operate through the official WhatsApp channel and SMS alert service. 

Controversy surrounds the recent attempts by the President’s Media Division (PMD), the official news portal of the President of Sri Lanka, to issue updates of President Wickremesinghe’s political and election rallies, which was termed by the independent polls monitors as abuse of State resources.
