Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe said that enthusiasm for the general elections was visibly low, which could create uncertainly.
He made this comment earlier this morning when casting his vote at College House, predicting that the turnout would be low.
"A low voter turnout is on the cards and that creates uncertainty as it can affect any party," Wickremesinghe told journalists after casting his vote.
"We already have a ‘L board’ Executive and the legislature should not be the same," he added.
