Ravinatha Aryasinha has assumed duties as the Executive Director of the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute (LKI) of International Relations and Strategic Studies.
He was appointed by Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Sabry in his capacity as the Chairman of the Board of Management of the Lakshman Kadirgamar
Institute of International Relations and Strategic Studies.
Previously an Officer of the Sri Lanka Foreign Service, he was the Foreign Secretary of Sri Lanka, and has also served as Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the United States of America, Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union, and as Sri Lanka’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Peradeniya and a Master of Arts Degree in International Relations from the University of Colombo. He was a ‘Hurst Fellow’ in International Relations at the School of International Service (SIS), American University, Washington DC, USA.
He is a Ph.D. Candidate in International Relations at the University of Colombo.
