The inaugural session of the 10th Parliament will commence at 10:00 am on November 21 and the President will present the Government's Policy Statement at 11:30 am on the same day.
Parliament announced earlier that the President will present the Government's Policy Statement at 3.00 pm on November 21.
In accordance with Article 33(a) of the Constitution, the President is empowered to present the Government Policy Statement at the commencement of a Parliamentary session. Additionally, as stipulated under Article 33(b) of the Constitution, the President is entitled to preside over the ceremonial sittings of Parliament.
During this session, the President will deliver a comprehensive explanation of the government’s vision and forthcoming initiatives through the Policy Statement, addressing both Parliament and the public.
