Rohitha Rajapaksa together with Mr. Polpithigama Kumararatne has donated Rs. 10m worth of medical equipment to the Kurunegala Hospital to treat COVID19 patients.
Having been informed of a medical equipment shortage, Mr. Rajapaksa had inquired about it from the Director of the Kurunegala Hospital, Dr. Chandana Kendagamuwa, and had taken immediate steps to donate a stock of medical equipment worth Rs. 10 million, with the assistance of Mr. Polpithigama Kumararatne.
Speaking to Daily Mirror, Mr. Rajapaksa stated that he would like to extend his sincere appreciate to Dr. Indika Ratnayake, North Western Provincial Coordinator of the Government Medical Officers' Association and Dr. Amila Siriwardena for their assistance, and he also stated that he would like to express his sincere gratitude to all other health care heroes for their dedication during this pandemic.
