The Transport and Highways Ministry has appointed Sri Lanka Railways Additional General Manager H.M.K.W. Bandara as the General Manager, with effect from November 3.
An official letter in this regard has been sent to H.M.K.W. Bandara under the signature of Transport Ministry Secretary M.M.P.K. Mayadunne.
The Cabinet decided to appoint Bandara as the General Manager of Sri Lanka Railways on October 10.
The letter informed Bandara to assume duties as GMR and then to inform the Ministry Secretary. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
