SLPP MP ordained as Buddhist monk

Colombo, Feb 20 (Daily Mirror)- SLPP MP Gunatileke Rajapaksa has been temporarily ordained as a Buddhist monk. The MP is now called Venerable Harispathuwe Dhammarathana Thera.

His son has also been ordained as Venerable Ampare Dhammaloka Thera.

Both have been ordained at the historical Isipathanarama Temple in India.

The MP had reportedly decided to enter into the religious order after the death of his wife.
