Sanath Jayasuriya appointed men’s cricket head coach for 1.5 years

Colombo, Oct 07 (Daily Mirror) - The Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has officially appointed Sanath Jayasuriya as the head coach of the national men's cricket team following the team's strong performances during recent tours.

Jayasuriya's appointment, which came into effect on October 1, 2024, will remain till March 31, 2026.

SLC said the decision was based on the team's good performances in recent series against India, England and New Zealand, where Jayasuriya had been serving as the interim head coach.
