“MP Jayamaha was engaged in a live recording of sessions recently despite an order by the Speaker to stop it. The MP had violated Standing Order 91. Besides, Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa has challenged us for physical fights. These MPs cannot be allowed to behave in the manner they do. My parliamentary privileges are violated by their behaviour,” the State Minister said.
MP Jayamaha who responded said Standing Order 91 refers to insulting a fellow MP and does not refer to recording. “Some donkeys are not aware of standing orders and utter things. They should not be allowed to do so,” he said.
