Science teacher arrested for molesting schoolgirls

Hatton, Feb 15 (Daily Mirror) - A science teacher of a Tamil school in Watawala was arrested today during investigations on a complaint that he had attempted to sexually abuse three schoolgirls.

Police said the suspect is alleged to have sent SMSs to the three Grade 10 school girls inducing them to sexual relations. However, when they had restrained his advances, he had written messages on their chairs to woo them.

Investigations revealed that the 44 year old teacher is father of two children.

He is to be produced before the Hatton magistrate.

A police team under OIC Watawala police Chandana Gamage is conducting further investigations.
