Prof. Jayasumana said a drastic increase in the spread of Aids could be observed in the country during the past few years where some 6,000 patients have been reported.
He said some 600 individuals who were infected with aids were identified in 2022.
The MP said one aids patients is reported for every 3,000 people in Sri Lanka.
