Colombo, Nov 05 (Daily Mirror) - While labelling the search of his residence as an act of political victimisation, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) National Organizer Sujeewa Senasinghe said today that he will file legal action against the Walana Corruption Prevention Unit.
"I will file a Fundamental Rights case and a defamation case, as I see this as a violation of my rights and an act of political victimisation," Senasinghe told the Daily Mirror.
"I have criticised former Presidents, including Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga and Mahinda Rajapaksa, but I have never had such gloomy experiences as the one I underwent yesterday," he said.
He said that the Corruption Prevention Unit did not find anything at his residence.
"I think what they wanted was to find out whether I had hidden any vehicles inside my residence. I don’t have to hide vehicles, as I have the means to purchase one openly," he added.
Senasinghe's residence in Kollupitiya was searched last morning.
