Second phase of BIA development resumes with JICA support

Colombo, October 01 -  The second phase of the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) Development Project has recommenced with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). 

This was confirmed during a meeting between JICA's Chief Representative, Yamada Tetsuya, and the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, this afternoon (01) at the Presidential Secretariat.

The discussion also covered the immediate launch of the Terrestrial Television Broadcast Digitization Project, another initiative backed by JICA.

In a recent meeting, the Japanese Ambassador emphasized the urgency of completing 11 ongoing projects supported by JICA.
