Six suspects arrested with 1.5 kg heroin

Six suspects including two women had been arrested with 1.5 kilograms of heroin worth Rs.12million by the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) during two separate raids in Colombo this morning, the Police said.

They said two women and two men were arrested with 600 grams of heroin. The two three-wheelers used by the suspects also were seized.

Another two suspects were arrested with 450grams of heroin at the raid in Grandpass.

The raid was conducted on the direction of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Pujith Jayasundara under the National Drugs Prevention Programme. (Chaturanga Pradeep)
