Sri Lanka better prepared for Monkeypox pandemic: Minister

Parliament, August 21 (Daily Mirror)- Sri Lanka is better prepared for the Monkeypox pandemic than a few years ago, Minister of Health Ramesh Pathirana told Parliament today.

In response to a question raised by MP Rauff Hakeem, the Minister said all necessary measures have been taken to ensure that people will not suffer. 

"The pandemic preparedness of the Ministry of Health is now much better than yester years. They have taken all the necessary measures to ensure that people will not suffer," he said.
