Sri Lanka were bowled out for 42, their lowest score in Test history, on the second day of the first Test against South Africa in Durban today.
Sri Lanka's previous lowest score in a Test innings was of 71, against Pakistan in Kandy in 1994.
After closing out South Africa's innings earlier today for 191, led by three-wicket hauls for Asitha Fernando and Lahiru Kumara, Sri Lanka had no answers for the home team's fast bowlers, with left-arm fast bowler Marco Jansen finishing with 7 wicekts for 13 runs.
It was also equal for the second-lowest score in the first innings of a Test match, and the lowest a team has been bowled out for by South Africa.
