Sri Lanka braces for heavy showers in coming days

Colombo, September 27 (Daily Mirror) -  Sri Lanka is set to experience intensified showery conditions over the next few days beginning today (27) due to a low-level atmospheric disturbance near the island.

According to the Department of Meteorology, heavy rainfall, exceeding 100 mm is expected in certain areas particularly in the Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and the districts of Kalutara, Galle, and Matara.

In addition, morning showers or thundershowers are forecasted for the Southern Province and the districts of Batticaloa and Ampara.
