Colombo, August 2 (Daily Mirror)- Foreign Minister Ali Sabry has advised Sri Lankans to avoid non-essential travel to Lebanon in the coming days due to the situation in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, the Minister told a media conference at the Presidential Media Center that steps have been taken to handle any emerging situation.

He said in response to potential crises in the Middle East, President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed three special committees as a proactive measure. One committee focuses on national security, another on the economic situation and ensuring the availability of essential goods, and a third, chaired by the President and Prime Minister, to oversee the work of the other two.
