State Minister for National Policies and Economic Affairs Niroshan Perera said that he would use his vote in favour of the No-confidence motion (NCM) handed over to the Speaker by the Joint Opposition against Minister, Rishard Bathiudeen, if he does not resign from his ministerial post.

He said this was not a decision of the government but his own decision in a bid to mete out justice for the people who died and injured during the Easter Sunday attack. He also said that he was studying comprehensively about the allegations levelled against Minister Bathiudeen these days and that the investigations into the Easter Sunday attack would be an obstacle if the minister remains in his post.

He said he had informed about his decision to some responsible persons in the government and that he agreed with some allegations levelled against the Minister.

In the meantime, Tamil National Alliance ( TNA) Wanni parliamentarian Charles Nirmalanandan said that he would be in favour of the No-Faith motion whatever the decision is taken by the Tamil National Alliance. He said that in spite of the fact that Ravi Karunanayake and Wijayakala Maheshwaran were removed from their portfolios when holding investigations, Bathiudeen is not removed from his post the same way because some leaders’ greed for his money.
