Colombo , October 10 (Daily Mirror) - The Meteorology Department has issued a warning for seafarers regarding strong winds and rough seas along the coast from Beruwala to Galle and Pottuvil, including Hambantota.
The department reports that wave heights could reach up to 2.5 metres, with strong winds gusting up to 65 km/h expected in the sea areas extending from Colombo to Hambantota via Galle and Matara.
In light of the anticipated rough weather, naval and fishing communities are strongly advised to refrain from any activities at sea in the affected areas.
Seafarers are urged to remain vigilant over the next 24 hours as these conditions pose significant risks.
