The ticket prices for the C & D Upper and Lower blocks at the R. Premadasa Stadium have been reduced for the remainder of the Asia Cup, Sri Lanka Cricket said today.
The high ticket prices for the Sri Lanka leg of the Asia Cup, organised by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), had been a talking point even before the tournament began, and it was reflected in the poor attendance seen at the Pallekele International Stadium and R Premadasa Stadium so far in the tournament.
Even the marquee India vs Pakistan Super 4 match had a relatively lower turn out, with large sections of the Upper pavillions empty.
C & D Upper tickets will be priced at Rs. 1000 while tickets for the C & D Lower stands will be available for Rs. 500, it was announced.
