Three persons including popular Sinhala cinema artiste Jackson Anthony were injured after the cab they were travelling in, hit a wild elephant at Thalawa in Anuradhapura.
Police said all three persons were seriously injured in the accident and were admitted to the Anuradhapura Hospital.
Meanwhile, Jackson Anthony was transferred to the National Hospital in Colombo. Hospital sources said he is undergoing treatment at the ICU.
The two other people are currently being treated at the Anuradhapura Hospital and one of them is in the ICU.
