Colombo, April 12 (Daily Mirror) - Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) General Secretary Ven. Galaboda Atte Gnanasara Thera is not on the list among the prisoners to be released under the special State amnesty tomorrow.
An official from the Prisons Department said he cannot be released under the common amnesty.
The official said that Ven. Gnanasara Thera should be released under a special amnesty by the President.
Ven. Gnanasara Thera was sentenced on March 28 to four-year-rigorous imprisonment for making a hate speech against the Islam on the Kuragala Temple.
