Asymmetric warfare course commences in SL

The Special Boat Squadron (SBS) of the Sri Lanka Navy commenced the asymmetric warfare course 2014, at the eastern Navy Headquarters in Trincomalee. Sixteen foreign military officers from five countries are taking part in the training course.
 
Twenty-four officers and sailors from Pakistan, China, Maldives, Bangladesh, Sudan and Sri Lanka participate in the three- month long course, the navy headquarters said.
 
One officer and 03 sailors from Pakistan and Sudan each and 04 officers from China, one officer from Bangladesh and one Coast Guard officer and 02 sailors from Maldives are among the foreign participants. Eight sailors from the Special Boat Squadron of the Sri Lanka Navy also participate in the course, it added.
