Australia lost three wickets for the addition of 73 runs as Sri Lanka made in roads into the Australian batting line up, on the second day of the second test at the Pallekele International Stadium.
Australia reached 133 for 3 at lunch, trailing Sri Lanka by 41 runs.
Shane Watson was first to go after he shouldered his arms and a ball that moved in enough to crash into his stumps for 36. He was soon followed by Philip Hughes who was caught by Tharanga Paranavithana off the bowling of Suraj Randiv for the same score. Michael Clarke was the third wicket when he caught by Mahela Jayawardene for 13.
Debutant Shaun Marsh and Michael Hussey were at the crease on 13 and 15 respectively.
