Child killed in explosion; 2 injured

A six-year-old child was killed and two other children injured when they tried to check an improvised Explosive Device (IED) found from a nearby jungle at Kuchchaveli, Trincomalee this evening, police said.

The three and ten year-old children who were injured were admitted to hospital with serious injuries.
