The water supply to Colombo and suburbs would be suspended for 18 hours from 11.00 a.m. on Saturday (28) to 5.00 a.m. on Sunday, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) said.

The Water Board said water supply would be interrupted due to an urgent repair at the Ambatale Water Purification Centre.

Accordingly, the water supply to Colombo, Dehiwala, Mt. Lavinia, Kotte, Kaduwela Municipal Council areas, Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, Kolonnawa Urban Council areas,  Kotikawatta and Mulleriyawa would be suspended.
