The Democratic People’s Front (DPF) has decided against participating in Tamil Eelam Supporters Organization (TESO) in Chennai, DPF leader Mano Ganesan said today

Mr. Ganesan said the decision was made at the party’s politburo meeting last evening.

He said the purpose of this conclave was not clear to the DPF and his party did not want to get involved in Tamil Nadu’s local politics.

Mr. Ganesan said there should be a conclave in India on Lankan issues which would support an honourable power sharing mechanism in Sri Lanka. “The DPF would reserve the right to participate in such a conclave in any part of the world,” he said. (Yohan Perera)
